Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

KeyGuru (casawalk.com) is a free set of home and mortgage tools operated by Yacine Fiher in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your choices. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

• Addresses you search. When you use the House Value estimator, the address you type is sent to the services below to find the property and its public data. We don't store your searches on our own systems.
• Numbers you enter. Mortgage, budget and home details you type are calculated in your browser. Your theme and Cash Flow data are saved only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.
• Quote requests. Only if you choose to request a free valuation or rate quote, we collect your name, email, phone (optional), what you're looking to do, the address and estimate shown, the time, and a record of your consent.
• Technical data. Like any website, our host and the services below receive your IP address and browser details when pages load.

Why we use it

• To show you home value estimates and calculator results.
• For quote requests: to share your details with up to two licensed real estate or mortgage professionals so they can contact you about your request, and to keep a record of your consent.
• To keep the site running, secure and free of spam.

We may receive a referral fee or other compensation from the professionals we connect you with. This never changes the estimate you see.

Your consent

We share your quote request only after you tick the consent box. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. We will stop sharing your information and ask the professionals we shared it with to stop contacting you. We will not send you marketing emails without separate consent.

Who we share with

• Licensed professionals you asked to hear from (up to two per request).
• Netlify, which hosts the site and stores quote requests.
• Address and data services: OpenStreetMap Nominatim and Photon (address lookup), and the City of Edmonton, City of Calgary and City of Winnipeg open data portals (property assessments).
• Content providers: Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver fonts and code libraries.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

We never sell your information to data brokers or list sellers.

Where it's stored

Some of these providers, including Netlify, store or process information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. Information stored there may be accessible to authorities under the laws of that country.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for up to 24 months, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Cookies

KeyGuru does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your theme and Cash Flow entries on your device. If we add analytics or ads later, we will update this policy first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. We will respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Safeguards

The site runs over HTTPS, and quote requests are kept in a password-protected account accessible only to us.

Children

KeyGuru is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
